Hybrid Solar Panel System
Hybrid PV systems are connected to the grid and also have a battery backup. If a hybrid PV system observes anomalies in grid parameters, it is designed to isolate the consumer from the grid and continue to supply power from the PV system and batteries. The batteries can be charged by the grid or by solar energy in such systems.
Setup a hybrid solar system in a residential setting, you need the following equipment:
Equipments
-
Solar Panels:
Convert sunlight into DC power
-
Mounting System:
Secures solar panel to the roof or ground
-
Charge Controller:
Regulates DC power from solar panels to battery bank
-
Battery Bank:
Stores excess energy back to the grid
-
Monitoring System:
Track System performance and energy production
-
Disconnects:
Safety swtiches for solar panels, battery bank and inverter
-
Grounding Equipment:
Ensure electrical saftey
-
Wiring and Connectors:
Connects all components
-
Backup Generator (optional):
Provides power during extended grid outages
-
Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) (optional:
Switches between grid and backup power
